THE WORK:
Ripple is seeking to hire a talented and self-motivated transactional lawyer to join Ripple’s Legal Team. In this role, you will support the company’s business and finance teams on enterprise technology transactions across the payments, financial technology, blockchain and cryptocurrency spaces. You will be an integral part of our growing and agile go-to-market legal team and support the business’s transactional pipeline globally.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Assisting the company’s business teams in transactions involving the Company’s product suite, including transactions with financial institutions and other businesses, including drafting and negotiating agreements
- Coordinating with the rest of Ripple’s legal team on improving templates and processes for such transactions
- Developing deep familiarity with Ripple’s product suite and its regulatory considerations
- Assisting the company’s business development, finance, and marketing teams in a variety of commercial and strategic transactions, such as agreements with key partners and infrastructure providers and other strategic relationships
- Managing the Company’s outside counsel, as appropriate, for transactional matters.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Law degree and strong academic credentials
- 5+ years practicing as a transactional attorney at a big law firm and at a company
- Strong experience with enterprise technology commercial agreements: software licensing, Saas, and partnership contract negotiations on a global basis
- Willingness to ‘pitch in’ and be a responsive business partner to your internal clients
- Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with Ripple’s product, marketing, engineering, security, tax and finance teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes
