THE WORK:

As a Junior Network Engineer/IT Support at Ripple, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining our critical corporate infrastructure that underpins our ambitious vision of reshaping global financial transactions. You will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and support specialists to ensure our network is robust, and secure, and end users are enabled with the tools they need.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Assist in the management and development of Ripple's network infrastructure, focusing on Juniper devices and Aruba products, including routers, switches, and WiFi systems.
  • Participate in the administration and optimization of Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba ClearPass appliances.
  • Provide front-line IT support to employees through walk-ups, tickets, and chat interactions.
  • Manage and support audio/visual systems for meetings and events, ensuring high-quality communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair IT hardware and software issues, maintaining high system availability and performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to enhance scalability and efficiency within the IT infrastructure.
  • Manage inventory of IT-owned and managed assets, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good working condition.
  • Facilitate and support IT orientations for new hires, ensuring they are equipped and informed to succeed in their roles.
  • Serve as a technical resource and advisor to Ripple employees, aiding in their understanding and use of IT resources.
  • Create and maintain IT runbooks and end-user documentation to ensure consistent and efficient handling of IT tasks.
  • Support various IT projects, ensuring dependencies are met and projects are completed on schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Academic studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability in network engineering, with a strong knowledge of Juniper network devices and Aruba WiFi and ClearPass appliances.
  • Demonstrated experience managing network infrastructures, an understanding of complex networking concepts and IT Support for end users.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ownership, and accountability.
  • Excellent documentation skills and the ability to provide comprehensive and clear network records.
  • Interpersonal communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across various teams.
  • Commitment to working some weekends and out-of-office hours in an in-office position.
