THE WORK:
As a Senior Developer Advocate for Ripple, your role will focus on mastering both existing and upcoming XRP Ledger (XRPL) features and understanding their applications in finance and community projects. With a strong foundation in FinTech and the financial sector’s unique challenges, you'll drive initiatives to engage, educate, and support the global XRPL developer community. You’ll lead workshops, simplify complex concepts, and present technical demos to enhance XRPL integration. Representing XRPL developers within Ripple, you’ll play a key role in shaping Ripple's contributions to the XRPL ecosystem.
This role will focus on engaging developer communities in Asia, and we’re looking for someone with hands-on development experience, ideally proficient in Python, Java, or JavaScript, and familiar with developer communities and the evolving fintech landscape, particularly in South Korea or Japan. A passion for blockchain technology, DeFi (Decentralized Finance), a keen sense for innovative solutions, and a strong interest in working with startups are essential for helping drive our programs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop and lead technical workshops, group learning sessions, and other technical content and modules to accelerate XRPL integration
- Be the voice, eyes, ears, and face of the XRPL community by speaking with, observing, listening to, and engaging developers directly all over the world
- Work with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, data, and growth to build strong bi-directional feedback loops and influence roadmaps
- Speak at conferences, meetups, and events about the XRPL, use cases, projects, and upcoming products and features
- Inspire third-party developers with ideas for integrating XRPL tools and services within their apps and businesses
- Participate in, mentor, and judge hackathons
- Contribute content, documentation, and insights that support a world-class developer experience
- Build strong relationships with the growing community of XRP developers by using engagement strategies and tactics that you help to form, initialize, and execute
- Measure your success by tracking engagement metrics, and working with stakeholders to improve the developer experience across the platform
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 5+ years experience working in technical roles for Blockchain or FinTech related companies
- Competency in programming in Python, Java, or Javascript
- Knowledge of FinTech, stablecoins, blockchain, DeFi or related technologies
- Experience with APIs, developer communities, open-source and developer ecosystems
- Experience public speaking and translating complex technical content into narratives
- Equally adept at being tactical and strategic and able to handle conflicting priorities
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a hands-on, dynamic and highly collaborative environment
