The XRPL is a decentralized, public blockchain led by a global community of businesses and developers looking to solve problems and create value. Proven reliable over more than a decade of operation and closing over 90 million ledger, the XRPL offers streamlined development, low transaction costs, high performance, and sustainability. We are looking for a senior engineer to help us maintain this high technical bar, while building innovative solutions to ensure the XRPL can power the growing needs of the global digital economy. RippleX Engineering is redefining quality for the XRPL ecosystem by building an autonomous, data-driven QA layer that validates rippled and Clio end to end. The focus is on functional testing, ensuring every change to the XRPL stack is correct, predictable, and reliable across the network. This role is more than testing; it's about building the reliability backbone of XRPL.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and deploy test frameworks that validate XRPL core behaviors, ledger flows, RPCs, and amendment logic.
  • Develop self-serve testing capabilities that allow developers to trigger full functional test suites through CI/CD pipelines without QA intervention.
  • Integrate QA workflows using tools such as PyTest, JUnit, and TestContainers to make testing modular, reproducible, and environment-agnostic.
  • Expand property-based and fuzz testing (Hypothesis, Antithesis, or libFuzzer) to uncover protocol-level inconsistencies and logic edge cases.
  • Automate test result visualization and analytics using Grafana, Allure, and ReportPortal for transparent reporting and traceability.
  • Implement auto-ticketing pipelines for failed or flaky tests with logs and traces linked to GitHub or Jira issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers across RippleX and XRPL Foundation to extend open-source test visibility and reproducibility.
  • Drive the shift from manual validation to an always-on, autonomous testing ecosystem for XRPL.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on test automation, QA infrastructure, or validation frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go, with experience building and maintaining test frameworks or CI/CD integrations and Docker/shell scripting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with QA tools such as PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, Hypothesis, Antithesis, TestContainers, Allure, and ReportPortal.
  • Proficiency in functional testing, closed system validation, property-based testing, and fuzzing methodologies.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI) and observability stacks (Grafana, Loki, ElasticSearch).
  • Understanding of distributed systems, networking, or blockchain protocols—XRPL or similar ecosystems a plus.
  • Ability to automate data setup, environment provisioning, and reporting pipelines.
