THE WORK:
The Senior Manager, Finance will be involved in all aspects of local and global operations and will support critical initiatives to facilitate the expansion of the company’s financial infrastructure.
Reporting to the International Controller, you will be immersed in all aspects of our operations, working closely with internal and external partners at all levels. Problem solvers are welcome, especially those with commercial acumen. You will play a vital role in recommending solutions and driving strategic decision-making processes. Your organizational skills will be key in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Financial controllership - Responsible for the delivery of all Brazilian & Bacen GAAP reporting including implementing accounting processes related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close including P&L, Balance Sheet, variance analysis, and management reports, including legacy businesses. This will include ensuring data integrity of the ledger, working with operations and other teams to ensure timely receipt of trading and operational data to prepare financial records and other returns.
- Translate (and explain) local requirements into Group actionable deliverables, being the bridge between finance, and local providers (auditors, banking providers, tax authorities and others).
Preparation and coordination of:
- Statutory and regulatory audits - are completed and filed on / ahead of time, including managing / co-ordinating external audit teams efforts effectively
- Financial regulatory filings – Ensure financial data / components of financial requests are completed on time ensure sufficient granularity that is repeatable on a regular basis
- Prepare financial updates - to external trading partners and investors as required.
- Financial management reporting (departmental reporting) – ensure Exco members have sufficient operating / expense cost date for them and their teams and work with the Head of FP&A to follow up on action items
- Documentation – help document policies, procedures and ensure best practice for expansion of the department and to provide for contingency / global handover between teams.
- Outsourced Partners - Work with outsourced partners on a timely basis to provide financial and other information to enable financial support and assistance to be completed.
- Treasury and Liquidity Management Reporting – Assist the Head of Treasury and Capital Management report capital and liquidity positions and ongoing reporting requirements in conjunction with senior management. This requires the firm has sufficient liquidity to meet the ongoing needs for Operating, Trading (aka Risk capital) and Regulatory capital requirements
- Risk framework – help monitor the Finance risk requirements for the business
- Financial forecasting – assist with financial modelling the operating businesses and the impact on the wider group, including leveraging new tools and best practice
- Assist with assessing the financial and reporting impact - of new Products and markets / entities, including advising on pricing and other analytics
- Assist in the development of Management Information – Help create and set up new timely and accurate financial reporting to monitor the current and future needs of the business;
- Banking and payments - Support in management of external banking relationships including keeping up to date with expenses and the control environment of our banking relationships..
- Manage the delivery of ad-hoc projects as directed by management
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA)
- Statutory Audit experience
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Understanding of financial regulatory capital planning
- Capital management and liquidity awareness
- Strong understanding of the principles and application of risk management.
- Understanding of project management and governance principles and techniques and ability to apply them to projects
Preferred experience:
- Knowledge of financial products, FX, Derivatives
- Technical accounting exposure
- Regulatory reporting exposure
- Ideally have transaction support and other (M&A / tax)
- Coding Skills (Python, SQL etc) a plus
- Exposure to broker / trading backgrounds will be very advantageous as will regulated financial services businesses.
