What happens to my RLUSD if Ripple stops issuing it?

Answer

If Ripple were to stop issuing Ripple USD (RLUSD), the stablecoin would remain redeemable for U.S. dollars as long as outstanding tokens are in circulation. Because RLUSD is fully backed by cash deposits, U.S. Treasuries, and cash equivalents, holders would still be able to exchange their RLUSD for an equivalent amount of U.S. dollars during the redemption period.

Ripple’s regulatory approvals (e.g., NYDFS, DFSA) also require transparency and reserve management, helping ensure that customer funds are protected even if issuance pauses or ends.
